Geophysical museum - Seismic exposition, Skalná

Skalna muzeum

 

Geophysical museum with the focus on seismology describes basic issues of earthquake research. Visitors can find very old seismometers as well as the most modern aparatures, which are operating in the seismic network WEBNET today.

 

The museum was established in cooperation with Skalná town and with support of married couple Noppers.

Guided tours: Please arrange a date with a research worker from the Institute of Geophysics via email cermakova@ig.cas.cz or call the number +420 732 982 410. A guided tour may include a visit of the seismic station Skalná (SKC), which is located nearby the castle Vildštejn in Skalná.
