A medium size earthquake swarm at 1962 gave the occasion to start the continuous monitoring of local earthquakes at Western Bohemia/Vogtland region. Until now, it was carried on improved step by step by increasing as well as the number and the sensitivity of the local stations installed. Now, the monitoring has reached an excellent level.

The readings of the recorded earthquakes were documented in a series of joint bulletins which were summarized, explained and interpreted by the program system VOCATUS (Neunhöfer 1998). During the regarded epoche (1962-1997) altogether 17.084 earthquakes were recorded. The event list given here is an extract of VOCATUS. It summarizes the fundamental data of the recorded earthquakes. Everybody who is interested in more details can get it by applying VOCATUS.

Event list for the period:

The event list gives the data in the following colums:

2 - 11: date (year, month, day)

14 - 24: focal time (hour, minute, second)

25 - 29: local magnitude

33 - 52: coordinates of the hypocentre (latitude, longitude, depth)

55 - 56: numbers of stations contributing

>56: remarks

Flags at column:

13 : '*' means that the given time is not focal but onset time, the kind of onset and the station for which it was read see under remarks after '*'

32, 40, 48: '#' or '%' indicate that the following coordinate is the mean value found for the earthquake swarm or series, respectively.

>56 : '#' or '%' combined with an integer or decimal number

- like #22 or #20.12 - indicate the affilation of the event to an earthquake swarm or series with more then 9 members.

'#' or '%' combined with two integer numbers separated by '/'

- like 63/5 - indicate the affilation of the event to a small earthquake cluster with less the 10 events.
