Seismological station Vranov (VRAC) was established in 1990 by the Institute of Physics of the Earth in a forest near village Vranov north of Brno. The bedrock is formed by the granodiorites of the Brno pluton. In 1990 – 1991 station VRAC was involved in the international experiment GSETT-2, in 1995 – 1997 in GSETT-3. At present station VRAC is part of the International Monitoring System (CTBTO) as auxiliary station AS26. The equipment of station was certified in 2012. Station VRAC is part of the Czech Regional Seismic Network.
