He obtained his <\/span><span title=\"Doktorsk\u00e9 (1995-2002) i magistersk\u00e9 (1990-1995) studium absolvoval na Matematicko-fyzik\u00e1ln\u00ed fakult\u011b Univerzity Karlovy.\">Ph.D. and RNDr. degrees at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in 2002. <\/span><span title=\"B\u011bhem postgradu\u00e1ln\u00edho studia pob\u00fdval na zahrani\u010dn\u00ed st\u00e1\u017ei v MSI, Minneapolis. \">During his postgraduate studies, he obtained a&nbsp;short-time fellowship at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msi.umn.edu\/\">MSI<\/a>, Minneapolis.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span title=\"Lud\u011bk se v\u011bnuje v\u00fdzkumu struktury litosf\u00e9ry a jej\u00edho v\u00fdvoje, se speci\u00e1ln\u00edm zam\u011b\u0159en\u00edm na anizotropn\u00ed vlastnosti prost\u0159ed\u00ed.\">Lud\u011bk focuses on the research of the lithospheric structure and its development, with an emphasis on the anisotropic properties of the Earth-upper mantle. <\/span><span title=\"Pro sv\u016fj v\u00fdzkum po\u017eaduje kvalitn\u00ed vstupn\u00ed data, dal\u0161\u00ed oblast\u00ed jeho pr\u00e1ce je tud\u00ed\u017e sestavov\u00e1n\u00ed procedur a metrik pro hl\u00edd\u00e1n\u00ed kvality dat a metadat, aplikovan\u00fdch jak na data z mobiln\u00edch seismick\u00fdch stanic sdru\u017een\u00fdch v MOBNETu, tak i na data z permanentn\u00edch a do\u010dasn\u00fdch evropsk\u00fdch s\u00edt\u00ed. \">He is demanding high quality input data for his research, and hence he suggests procedures and metrics for monitoring the quality of data and metadata.
