Visitors can view historic seismometers and data acqusition systems, learn a&nbsp;lot about almost two thousand year old history of the seismometers, how they worked and the evolution of the construction of seismometers since the 19th century. Different data acquisition systems for measuring seismic signals are displayed. Experienced guides explain why and where earthquakes occur, how seismic waves can be used to understand the structure of the Earth and the processes in it. Excursions also include a&nbsp;200m walk deep into the Krist\u00fdna gallery from 1805 to visit three different sites where sensitive seismic instruments are \/ were deployed. Station KHC is part of the Czech regional seismic network and contributes data to the global seismic network. KHC is considered one of the most sensitive stations in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The museum is open the first Saturday of everey month from May to September. The visitors are guided by an interactive exhibit through seismology from plate tectonics to the latest findings about seismic swarms in West Bohemia\/Vogtland. The small lecture room (capacity of about 15 people) is used for presentations or watching a&nbsp;documentary about earthquake swarms in this region (only in czech so far). N\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvn\u00edci Muzea seismometrie se sezn\u00e1m\u00ed s bezm\u00e1la dva tis\u00edce let dlouhou histori\u00ed p\u0159\u00edstroj\u016f na m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed pohyb\u016f zem\u011b, seismometr\u016f, s\u00a0principem jejich \u010dinnosti, v\u00fdvojem konstrukce seismometr\u016f za posledn\u00edch sto let a tak\u00e9 se z\u00e1znamov\u00fdmi za\u0159\u00edzen\u00edmi, z\u00edskan\u00fdmi seismick\u00fdmi sign\u00e1ly a s jejich zpracov\u00e1n\u00edm. Dozv\u00ed se mnoh\u00e9 o zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00ed, d\u016fvodech jeho vzniku, \u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed seismick\u00fdch vln a jejich \u00fa\u010dinc\u00edch, t\u00e9\u017e o stavb\u011b Zem\u011b, sv\u011btov\u00fdch zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00edch a seismicit\u011b na\u0161eho \u00fazem\u00ed. Sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed prohl\u00eddky je n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bva t\u0159\u00ed pracovi\u0161\u0165 ve t\u0159ech v\u011btv\u00edch zlatonosn\u00e9 \u0161toly Krist\u00fdna, kter\u00e9 se pou\u017e\u00edvaly nebo pou\u017e\u00edvaj\u00ed pro um\u00edst\u011bn\u00ed seismick\u00fdch sn\u00edma\u010d\u016f. Stanice KHC je od sv\u00e9ho zalo\u017een\u00ed sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed \u010cesk\u00e9 region\u00e1ln\u00ed seismick\u00e9 s\u00edt\u011b a tak\u00e9 sv\u011btov\u00e9 s\u00edt\u011b seismick\u00fdch stanic. Pat\u0159\u00ed mezi nejcitliv\u011bj\u0161\u00ed sv\u011btov\u00e9 seismick\u00e9 observato\u0159e.\r\n\r\nMuzeum je mo\u017en\u00e9 nav\u0161t\u00edvit ka\u017edou prvn\u00ed sobotu v\u00a0m\u011bs\u00edci od kv\u011btna do z\u00e1\u0159\u00ed. Interaktivn\u00ed formou seznamuje n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvn\u00edky s problematikou m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed a studia zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00ed od teorie deskov\u00e9 tektoniky a\u017e po nejnov\u011bj\u0161\u00ed poznatky o z\u00e1pado\u010desk\u00fdch seismick\u00fdch roj\u00edch. Sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed je mal\u00fd p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161kov\u00fd a prom\u00edtac\u00ed s\u00e1l\u00a0 s kapacitou p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 15 osob, kde mohou n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bvn\u00edci zhl\u00e9dnout dokument\u00e1rn\u00ed film o roj\u00edch v t\u00e9to oblasti.
