The Institute of Geophysics is delighted to announce that the European Geosciences Union (EGU<\/span>) has awarded the 2024 Beno Gutenberg Medal to our colleague\u00a0RNDr. Jaroslava Plomerov\u00e1, DrSc.<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
This medal was established by the Seismology Division in recognition of the scientific achievements of Beno Gutenberg<\/a>. It is awarded to individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions to seismology.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The medal will be handed over and\u00a0celebrated during the EGU<\/span> General Assembly 2024<\/a>, which will be held from 14\u201319 April in Vienna.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It is awarded to individuals in recognition of their outstanding […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"on","_et_pb_old_content":"\u00a0\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe Institute of Geophysics is delighted to share that the Geological Society announced their 2022 Bigsby Award is presented to our colleague Dr. Catherine Annen<\/a>.\r\n\r\nThe Bigsby Medal was founded by John Jeremiah Bigsby (1792-1881), and is to be awarded \u2018as an acknowledgement of eminent services in any department of Geology, irrespective of the receiver\u2019s country\u2019.
