This year, GF\u00da researchers succeeded in the category of standard projects as well as the highly selective EXPRO grants!<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/en\/contact\/staff\/jan-burjanek\/\">Jan Burj\u00e1nek<\/a> and his team for receiving <strong>EXPRO grant<\/strong> on the project <strong>Comprehensive geophysical analysis of the ongoing volcanic eruption at the Reykjanes peninsula (Iceland)<\/strong>.<br \/>The aim of the project is to understand the evolution of the magma delivery system across the Earth&#8217;s&nbsp;crust using data from the existing seismic network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/en\/observatories\/local-seismic-network-reykjanet\/\">REYKJANET<\/a>, magnetotelluric measurements, field research, and advanced analogue and numerical modelling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-40237 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/island-jakub-klicpera-09-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/island-jakub-klicpera-09-980x653.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/island-jakub-klicpera-09-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Reykjanet: Work on the FAF station in the Fagradalsfjall mountains, Iceland. We are happy that three of our researchers and their proposals were successful in the GA\u010cR.
