In 2011-2015, he had served as Vice-President of IAGA, then in 2015-2019, he was its President. He served as an elected member of the IUGG Bureau from 2019 to 2023. At this year&#8217;s&nbsp;IAGA Congress in Lisbon, Portugal, he was elected a&nbsp;25th <a href=\"https:\/\/iaga-aiga.org\/index.php?id=iaga-honorary-members\">Honorary Member<\/a> of IAGA &#8220;for outstanding services\u201c to this association.
