For example, since October, the <a href=\"https:\/\/natur.cuni.cz\/geologie\">Geology Section of the Faculty of Science at Charles University<\/a> has been running a&nbsp;course on Analog modeling in Geosciences (Ondra Kr\u00fdza and Prokop Z\u00e1vada), in which students use our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/en\/observatories\/tect-mod-lab\/\">Analogue Modeling Laboratory<\/a> for experiments. Also a&nbsp;course taught by the <a href=\"https:\/\/fulbright.gov.cz\/en\/\">Fulbright Foundation<\/a> scholar hosted by our institute, <a href=\"https:\/\/artsandsciences.syracuse.edu\/people\/faculty\/moucha-robert\/#Biography\">Dr. Robert Moucha<\/a> (Syracuse Univ., NY, USA), has been launched at the Faculty of Science, Charles University. His course, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/natur.cuni.cz\/geologie\/ustavy-a-pracoviste\/ustav-geologie-a-paleontologie\/studium\/kurz-hostujicich-lektoru\">Geodynamics of Basins<\/a>,&#8221; focuses on the formation and evolution of sedimentary basins and, more generally, dynamics of the Earth&#8217;s&nbsp;crust surface, primarily from the perspective of physical principles and numerical modelling.<\/p>\n<p>Information on other classes and instructors from our institute can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/en\/research\/university-classes\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36661 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20231024-140150-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20231024-140150-1-980x735.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.ig.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/20231024-140150-1-480x360.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Students during a&nbsp;course on analogue modelling in the laboratory.
