His main area of research is the integration of different geophysical datasets for earth imaging. He has extensive experience in acquiring magnetotelluric data in areas around the world and has developed methodologies to jointly invert magnetotellurics with other geophysical datasets and geological constraints.<\/p>\n<p>Geophysical models are one of the main ways that we can understand the subsurface of the Earth. However, they are typically generated through inversion of sparse and noisy data and, as a&nbsp;consequence, suffer from artefacts and ambiguous results. One of the approaches to alleviate these issues is the combination of different geophysical methods in a&nbsp;single<br \/>\ninversion algorithm, typically termed multiphysics inversion or joint inversion. Here one of the major challenges is to establish meaningful connections between distinct physical parameters, e.g. electrical conductivity and seismic velocity.
