The project involves building a&nbsp;database of the characteristics of magmatic systems, building a&nbsp;network model of a&nbsp;volcanic plumbing system, and developing numerical models to investigate how the elements of the network connect and how magma flows through the network.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are looking for a&nbsp;numerate early career researcher with experience in the study of magmatic systems and a&nbsp;strong interest in statistics and modelling.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We are looking for the following skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of magmatic systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience in programming<\/li>\n<li>Good mastering of oral and written English<\/li>\n<li>Scientific curiosity and scientific rigour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The postdoctoral researcher will be based in Prague (Czech Republic) at the <strong>Institute of Geophysics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.<\/strong> The researcher will work in a&nbsp;transdisciplinary team of Earth scientists, mathematicians, and complex system scientists.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are offering:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To work on a&nbsp;funded project.<\/li>\n<li>Travel opportunities for collaborations and conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to build an international collaborative network.<\/li>\n<li>Live in Prague, a&nbsp;culturally rich vibrant city in central Europe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Starting date is flexible but no later than November 2026. Funding is available until December 2028.
