Seismological station Moravský Beroun (MORC) was established in 1994 in the frame of the international program GEOFON coordinated by the  GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam. Seismometer is situaled in a well at depth of 5 m near Červená hora about 7 km southeast of Moravský Berouna. The bedrock of the station is formed by Culm sediments of the Nízké Jeseníky Mts. Station MORC is part of the global seismic network GEOFON, the Alpine-Carpathian Seismological Network (ACORN) anf the Czech Regional Seismic Network.
