Ing. Milan Krešl, CSc (1936) has been a member of the Department of Geothermics since 1963, formerly as a specialist in development of measuring instruments for geothermics and related radiometry. He founded a laboratory for the research of sub-surface temperature and heat released by decay of radioactive elements in rocks. Since 1978, as a scientist, he has been working on the Earth’s thermal field research, computer programming and mathematical modeling. He participated in the creation of observatories for temperature measurements in boreholes at Spořilov, Kocelovice, Svojšice, Bedřichov and on processing of the results.
