Dr. Václav Červ was born in 1947 year. He received his university education at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University in Prague and graduated in numerical mathematics. Since 1970 he has been working in the geoelectric department of the Geophysical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague. In 1978 he he was granted the CSc. (Ph.D.) degree in geophysics. V. Červ has been developing methods for solving numerically the partial differential equations governing electromagnetic fields.. Nowdays he has been working in geomagnetic department and works on numerical solution of forward and the inverse magnetotelluric problem and on interpretation of experimental data in inhomogeneous media.
