Our long-time employee Eduard Petrovský, an expert on the magnetic properties of rocks, has actively served, for his entire professional career, in the International Association for Geomagnetism (IAGA), a part of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). In 2011-2015, he had served as Vice-President of IAGA, then in 2015-2019, he was its President. He served as an elected member of the IUGG Bureau from 2019 to 2023. At this year’s IAGA Congress in Lisbon, Portugal, he was elected a 25th Honorary Member of IAGA “for outstanding services“ to this association. Congratulations!
