Seismological station Velká Javorina (JAVC) was established by the Institute of Physics of the Earth in 1995 in cooperation with Zentralanstalt für Meteorologie und Geodymanik (ZAMG) in Vienna. Seismometr is situated in a tunnel on the top of Velká Javorina Mt. at the Czech-Slovak border. Station JAVC is part of the Alpine-Carpathian Seismological Network (ACORN) and the Czech Regional Seismic Network.
