Sadegh Adineh is a research fellow at the Institute of Geophysics CAS and a PhD. student at the Faculty of Science, Charles University (Institute of Petrology and Structural Geology). His main interest is the field of Structural geology and . The aim of his recent work is salt tectonics in southern Iran, origin of caprock and deformation of caprock on salt diapirs. He is also interested particularly in the following topics:

  • Salt tectonics
  • Precambrian research
  • Climate change
  • Glaciology
  • Geo-microbiology
  • Microstructural analysis of salt rocks
