Helena Žlebčíková (born Munzarová) works at the Institute of Geophysics CAS since 2007. She is interested particularly in the following topics:

  • Structure of the Earth‘s upper mantle
  • Anisotropy of seismic-wave velocities
  • Seismic tomography

She is working on development and application of a code for travel-time tomography that involves anisotropic propagation of seismic waves in the upper mantle.

She participates in grant projects aimed at research of the lithosphere in various tectonic provinces of Europe, e.g., in the Alps and their surroundings, where experiment AlpArray is being operated. She is also a team member of project CzechGeo/EPOS-Sci funded from Operational Programme Research, Development and Education. She spent six months at ETH Zürich as a research assistant in 2013.
