My work explores how climate, tectonics and life transform Earth’s surface through time.
I have led the Surface Processes and Palaeoclimate team since its inception in 2021. I am also visiting senior fellow at the University of Wollongong (2023- ), visiting professor at the Chengdu University of Technology (2019- ) and an associate editor for the Bulletin of the Geological Society of America (2018- ). I joined GFÚ in 2019 following research positions at universities in Aarhus, Potsdam, Stockholm, Glasgow, and Wollongong. I gained a PhD (2001) from Macquarie University, Sydney.
