Mgr. Vladimír Kolář Kusbach, Ph.D. (*1981) works from 2011 as researcher in research team ROCKS.
I am interested in processes of rock deformation from micro- up to lithospheric scale. My work is combination of field structural geology with metamorphic and magmatic petrology in order to describe and understand tectonic processes in space and time.
I am mainly focused on microstructural studies, which are an important tool for deciphering rock rheology and melt segregation processes. More specifically, main research topics are: (a) structural studies in orogenic belts, (b) crust and mantle interactions and large-scale tectonic processes, (c) microstructures, textures, deformation mechanisms and rheology of deformed rocks.
Research field: Deformation and rheological behaviour of lower continental crust rock complexes, rock deformation in general.

Main tools: Structural geology, microstructural analysis, petrological modelling, geochemistry, geochronology.

Current projects:

Past projects:
